The BOLTSS Mapping Skills Interactive Notebook is an engaging and hands-on activity that will help your students to remember the features of a map.
This activity is differentiated and provides two options for you to print and give to students. These flipbooks provide an opportunity for students to complete an independent or small group activity. Students will need to identify and correctly fill in the blanks and label each feature of a map. The support version provides the labels.
This resource complements the Sustainable Biomes Unit of Work Bundle. This unit of work for Year 9 is complete with a 10-week teaching program, assessment schedule and marking rubrics. The bundle also includes engaging learning activities and PowerPoint presentation.
Linked directly to the Geographical Knowledge and Understanding strand of the Australian Curriculum, these activities will help your students learn the meaning and purpose of BOLTSS in a tangible way.

HOW CAN YOU USE THE BOLTSS MAPPING SKILLS INTERACTIVE NOTEBOOK?
When studying geographical mapping skills, these interactive flipbooks provide a hands-on engaging activity. For students requiring support, have them identify the features of a map by colouring the labels. For students who are at or above stage level, have them fill in the blanks.
