Changing Places: Renewable Energy Task Cards
The renewable energy task cards activity is for Year 9 students studying geography. It provides students with the opportunity to explore the renewable energy options available in Australia and around the world through an engaging task. Students will examine how cities are using a number of different strategies to combat heat, and they will look at the advantages and disadvantages of renewable energy options. They will also explore how water is being used to produce energy and the ways in which farmers are using renewable energy to improve farming practices.
This resource complements the Changing Places Unit of Work Bundle. This unit of work for Year 9 is complete with a 10-week teaching program, assessment schedule, and marking rubrics. The bundle also includes engaging learning activities and a PowerPoint presentation.
