Year 9 Geography
This Australian and New South Wales Curriculum-aligned Changing Places teaching program for Year 9 will provide you with weekly learning activities that will engage students in examining urban living and the movement of people in Australia and around the world.
Students will examine the patterns and trends in population movements and the increasing urbanisation of countries. Students examine strategies to create liveable and sustainable urban places, propose solutions and suggest opportunities for active citizenship. They discuss the reasons for internal and international migration patterns and the consequences of population movements, including the increased concentration of populations within countries.
