PEEL your Paragraph Posters
Classroom Bulletin Board Display
The PEEL your Paragraph writing approach is a proven way to help students’ writing process by providing a structure for their writing.
Like other useful composition acronyms, the PEEL format- Point, Explain, Evidence, (Evaluate), Link – is often introduced in English to improve students’ paragraph structuring and formatting capabilities, especially when writing a persuasive text.
This group of posters provides a great visual reminder for students on how to structure a paragraph/essay. Teachers can use the posters collectively or use one at a time when focusing on individual elements.
This visual display is appealing for Upper Primary and Secondary students. It provides a clear guide for each element of paragraph writing, it also provides examples of sentence starters.
UPDATE AUGUST 2020: Now includes a display banner, with both the PEEL and PEEEL versions, to complete your classroom display.
HOW CAN YOU USE THE PEEL YOUR PARAGRAPH POSTERS?
These posters should be displayed in the classroom, in a position that allows students to reference it when writing essays.
